President Muhammadu Buhari has praised Nigeria’s security agencies over the operations that led to the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and allies of Sunday Igboho. Buhari commended security agencies for their collaboration in arresting individuals who had inflicted pain and hardships on fellow citizens.
President Buhari stated this in a statement to newsmen by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
In the statement, Shehu noted that Kanu and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leaders are known for murderous actions and virulent messaging.
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State on Saturday received another Chibok schoolgirl who presented herself to the Nigerian Army. Naija News reports that the schoolgirl, Hassana Adamu, alongside her two children, was handed over to Governor Zulum by the Commander, 26 Taskforce Brigade, Brigadier General DR Dantani, in Gwoza.
Hassana was one of over 200 schoolgirls abducted at a Government Secondary School in Chibok on April 14, 2014, by Boko Haram insurgents.
