The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed the lawmaker representing Sokoto East, Senator Abdullahi Gobir, as the new Senate Leader. Naija News reports that this was made known in a letter on Wednesday written by the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The letter which was sent to the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, was read at the plenary.
Gobir replaced the lawmaker representing Kebbi North, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, who resigned as Senate Leader following his defection from the APC to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
